a puppy clings to his caretaker and wont let go - he knows time is not on his side ...

He's only been on this earth for about 6 months and it has not been kind to him. Abandoned and now separated from the only security he knew - his brothers and sisters. Roy did not ask for this life, but he has no choice, no rights, no voice. He only has 18 hrs of hope and that too is quickly fading without a foster or adopter. NOT RESERVED - ROY WILL NE KILLED SHORTLY at Miami-Dade Animal Services.

A volunteer writes "I’m not much of a puppy person, but even my heart isn’t safe from this little guy! He was found abandoned with his littermates and I imagine the world as they knew it was quite small. He has moments of timidity and is still learning how to walk on a leash (but is totally OK with being carried around!) and how to do his business outside, but is SUCH a super sweet, playful pup! His likes include trying to catch flies, TOYS (his version of the zoomies might be the cutest ever!), treats (which he uses as toys if they are too big for his little teeth), and attention from people. Although he was super happy and excited when one of his sisters was in a pen adjacent to us, he acted like quite the tough guy when we saw a dog from outside his family. He’s looking for someone to help him with his social skills…and, of course, get loads of puppy breath and love in return!"

I am a male brown Chihuahua - Smooth Coated. The shelter staff think I am about 6 months old and I weigh 12 pounds.
