1 year old little shepherd girl fights for her life, crying all day as no-one came for her

Today, her heart is has been shattered, she lays curled up on her bed, refusing to leave the corner. she will be led to that room of no return, she will wag her tail hopefully and give kisses to the people around her, the humans she loves SO much.

She may then panic, as the needle goes in, trying to get into someone's arms, trying to be comforted as she gasps her last breath. A mere statistic, a number, thrown into a plastic bag, tossed in a dumpster, then forgotten and lost in history.

SOPHIA is a timid little girl that is not sure what is happening around her. She is too young to understand so she's hoping for a loving home so she can be happy again!

How is she with other dogs? Her profile has been shared to our foster group, but everybody needs to know if she is ok with other animals.

However, I will willing to help with her adoption fee.

Is there a point of contact that get things moving Sophia?

1) the foster group needs to know how she interacts with other dogs
2) there are people who are willing to help with her adoption fee
3) there are people on Twitter who are interested in adopting her.

How can we start taking action?

Good news! Yesterday afternoon, around 4 pm, I called Roswell Animal Control, wanting to see what could be done for Sophia, and was told that a Pet Rescue Group had claimed her and that they are picking her up on this Saturday, 1/13/18. They didn't give the name of the group, just that a rescue was picking her up.

I want to send out a BIG thank you to the Pet Rescue that is saving Sophia!

I am very grateful to the Pet Rescue for saving Sophia!

Yesterday I left a message with the Roswell Human Society, and asked if I paid both the release fee for Animal Control, and the adoption fee from them if they could pick her up today.

I spoke with them this morning, and it would have tough, as they have 2 open kennels and both are designed for smaller dogs. The girl I spoke with said she would need to speak with her manager.

So thank you again to the Pet Rescue who is taking Sophia tomorrow! Your love and efforts and greatly appreciated.
