1 years old puppy living at the kill shelter cries every time she’s alone

JUST AS HE STARTS TO FEEL LOVE FOR THE FIRST TIME - IT'S ALL ABOUT TO END ...

This boy came into this world with love and joy in their hearts, a blank canvas dreaming of ladybug hugs and butterfly kisses. But what happens when those puppies have lived an invisible existence - the world is a big scary place.

But somehow they forgive - love can change everything. He is what rescue is all about - to teach about love, to mend the broken pieces, to be his first friend. But the reality is, his time is up and without a foster or adopter - his life will come to a tragic end.

Nicholas is the little cairn terrier mix that nobody wants, terrified pup hanging on death row

Remeber a time in your life when you were betrayed by someone you loved, trusted, and gave your life to, who let you down in the worst way. Such is the case for a 7 Years-old Cairn Terrier - Mix pup named NICHOLAS, who makes his new life at the OC Animal Care in Orange, CA.

OC Animal Care, a place where so many dogs and cats languish behind, facing uncertain futures, is not the place one would wish on their own worst enemies. That’s because the animals living in the facility are given just a few weeks, and in certain cases, only a few days to find forever families, before the unthinkable happens: euthanasia.

Shelter favorite of staff and volunteers – yet still on list to die tomorrow

What chance does Leo have to be rescued and live the rest of his life in a loving and comfortable home? He’s a 2 year old male Pug /Chi mix who was brought in as an owner surrender. Although he is a favorite of the staff and volunteers, he’s scheduled to die. Not listed on the website and hidden in the back of the shelter, how is anyone to even know Leo’s life counts?

We continue to question how our shelters fail so many dogs. Why hasn’t the San Bernardino City Shelter, CA opened an investigation to charge Leo’s owner with neglect? Look how undernourished he is? Doesn’t he deserve better? Why is there no information as to his history – knowing if he likes to be with children, likes other dogs or even chases cats? Wouldn’t a pet profile help him find a home?

Instead the shelter had planned to euthanize Leo on Tuesday; shelter volunteers were able to secure an extension for one more day. Advocates continue to pledge funds for an approved rescue organization to help. Share this dog’s plight with friends, family and social media contacts. We are his last chance. Just one more share, just reach out to one more person and that can mean the difference between life and death for this dog. Won’t you help?
